HIGHLIGHTS!

Welcome readers to the 4th week of Blogging. This week has been another exciting week! 
Some of the highlights are starting our Cute Uglies (Cuglies.)    They are homemade creatures that we have been sewing.  On March 13, our class are doing Student Led Conferences.  So far, we've collected our work,decorated our folders and practiced sharing.  Another special event was the Dance-A-Thon. It was really fun because we did the Dances: Hokey Pokey, Cuban Shuffle, the Chicken Dance and many more!

ONE CRAZY WEEK!!!!

Hi!  Today is the first day of March.  We've had a pretty crazy week.  We started our Mapping projects and it's going really well.  In gym, we played Skittles and Lava Pit.  This is a game where there's a bunch of thing on the floor and you have to get acoss the gym without touching the ground.   The only way to cross is to steip on differnet objects such as bean bags,hoola hoops, and benches.  Wednesday was Pink day and we had some guest speakers.  They talked about different type of bullying and how important accepting each other differences.  Their names were Anna,Lauren, and Tash.  We also did Dancing with Raquel and she taught us Gangnam Style and we got to do Chicken Dance for fun.  Finally, today we're doing our French projects today and get half the day.

MINDFUL POSTERS

Some of Division 12 students working on our Mindful Posters.  We are learning about the brain and how important mindful thinking is and how it can help us.  We took large pieces of blue paper and found pictures that were mindful and also unmindful.  Then we put them into categories.  Also, we added words to the collage.  They are now hanging outside our classroom.  Come and check them out.

Hi div. 12!

This week we started division and readers theater! We also started hip  hop! =D
In division we used a strategy to count up to the closest number.  We did it in partners and it was pretty challenging and fun.
For readers theater each tribe was assigned a play to practice.  The plays were fun but one was kind of odd.
Hip hop has been super fun as well. Our song is called Yo Momma's gonna Knock u Out.  Funny.
In C.C. we learned during news that a meteor almost hit russia when it exploded.  It made a sonic boom that cracked a bunch of windows.
 Last but not least, we had a valetines party!!=D we had music and everything! some people decided to give out valentines and some people brought food! (candy!) so Thats all for now! bye!
